The New Zealand Arboricultural Association (NZAA) Annual Conference will be held in Christchurch 22-24 November 2007.
This is the 20th Annual Conference and will be held in 2007 at the Chateau on the Park. The theme is “Trees for tomorrow - Taking Arboriculture into the 21st
Century”. Preserving and enhancing our trees for the future is important to us all. Join us in Christchurch, the Garden City and together we can explore ways in
which we will create a legacy for the coming generations.
We anticipate that over 100 arborists and professionals from associated industries will attend from throughout New Zealand. Our aim is to advance and share our knowledge
and experiences of modern arboricultural practices with its wider social and environmental benefits. With two days of international speakers, interactive workshops
and demonstrations, we believe that this event will further our understanding of arboriculture in the 21st century.
Included in the conference is a partners' programme and the NZAA National Tree Climbing Competition - showcasing the talent of our world class climbers. Prior to the
conference (Wednesday 21 November) is The Quantified Tree Risk Assessment Workshop which will provide an essential qualification to many consulting and city arborists.
We now invite you to submit your abstract. The closing date for abstracts is 27 May 2007.
Abstracts can be submitted here. You will be notified by 27 June 2007 if your paper are accepted.
Further information about the conference will be available on the website in May. In the meantime, mark 22-24 November in your calendar!

NZAA Annual Conference 2008
The 21st NZAA Annual Conference and
NTCC will be held in Hamilton, 20-25 November 2008.
New Zealand's premier Arboriculture event - workshops, Tree Climbing Competitons, Dinner and Award ceremony, and, of course, the Annual Conference - along with the AGM. Based at the Novotel Tainui, Hamilton, with climbing workshops/competitions to be advised.
